More about Sport Camps
Providing multi-sport activity camps to over 1000 children per year throughout West Yorkshire, Sport Camps has now become a name on the tip of all childrens tongues in our region.
Sport camps have established themselves in 10 different venues throughout the region where children aged between 5 and 13 visit to have an exciting school holiday making friends, gaining skills and most importantly, having fun!
With activities ranging from football and hockey to Quidditch and Auzzie River Ball, there is always something to excite every child, girl or boy, junior or senior.
2008 brings us into our 10th year of camps. Sports have changed, kids have grown up, the Management have got older! However, our vision has always remained the same; and that is to provide sporting opportunity for all children with a real focus and commitment towards fun, enjoyment and maximum participation.
Although there are no regulatory bodies for sports coaching provisions such as ours, we are proud to have carefully followed the OFSTED guidelines for Out Of School Childcare. With this, Sport Camps believes that our courses provide a high quality, value for money service.
More About Sports (UK)
In 2005 a law was passed making it compulsory to provide School Teachers with non-contact time to help with planning, preparation and assessment. As a result we were asked by many schools to provide P.E. during this non-contact time to help raise the standard of Physical Education in schools.
Sports (UK) continues to expand year-by-year, providing high quality P.E. to children in and out of curriculum time. With a highly motivated and enthusiastic team of staff ranging from qualified Teachers to sport specific Coaches, the company boasts a wide range of sporting expertise.
This combination of knowledge and experience has led to Sports (UK) becoming a leading sports company in the North of England. Our high quality provision is further supported by our extensive range of resources, which continues to grow and benefit both staff and schools alike.
We regularly host sports training days for young Sport Leaders, giving them the opportunity to experience coaching and teaching amongst highly qualified members of staff. This has lead to some highly talented young people being identified, some of which have gone on to coach and lead young people for Sports (UK), Sport Camps, the Council, and beyond.
